Alexander Kühne, Dipl.-Pol.

studied political science in Halle and San Francisco and gained practical political experience in the constituency and congressional office of Jim McDermott (Democrat in the Seventh District in Washington State) in Seattle and Washington D.C.. After graduating, he spent six years as a research assistant at the Chair of Government and Policy Research at the Institute of Political Science at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, including a research stay at the Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy at Washington University in St. Louis. He participated in the IParl's research projects on the 2017 federal election campaign and in the Franco-German project CITREP ("Citizens and Representatives in France and Germany") at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. Since 2009, he has been working as an editorial assistant for the "Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen".

His research and teaching areas include parliaments, the theory and empiricism of political representation and the political systems of Germany and the USA.
