Dr. Calixte Bloquet
joined the Institute for Parliamentary Research as a Research Associate in October 2021. He holds a doctoral degree in political science of the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. In his dissertation, Calixte investigated the various ways MPs try to influence the law-making process in the French National Assembly, from a sociological perspective, using the example of the Women’s Rights Delegation. His research interests include parliamentary structures, law-making, party discipline and gender in Parliaments, as well as discussions related to institutionalism. Calixte is also an associate member of the Centre européen de sociologie et de science politique (CESSP/Paris).
